We're proud of our Coffee Cart Project: our own Apprentice-style programme that combines team learning and development with a project that can provide real benefit to young people.
ClearWorth uses its coffee cart in 3 ways:
Learn to run a mini Coffee business, take our mobile coffee unit to location and sell coffee, raising money for business. We have run this project as a competition with the team making the most money winning a meal out.
ClearWorth teams have been sponsored by businesses to run the Coffee Cart Project with a school group, with the Managers running the coffee business with a youth group. The teams on our Coffee Cart Project vary from graduates to senior managers and the young people come from schools, charity or youth groups. ClearWorth works with and coaches the company's "team", who in turn work with the young people.
Via via sponsorship of a Coffee Cart Project and watching a group of up to twelve young people blossom, we use the coffee cart to teach young people about business: they must learn how to make proper coffee, how to market and price the coffee, how to analyse the HSE issues around moving, unloading and positioning the van, customer service requirement, and finally to sell the coffee and make money which is always donated to charity...Read 'Running coffee cart projects' about ClearWorth's sponsored schools projects.
